The 17th BAFICI is pleased to invite all previously accredited film industry professionals to be part of the Professional Area.

The Professional Area is a meeting and networking place for national and international producers, sales agents, distributors and festival programmers.

Its main aim is to connect the representatives of selected movies and projects with the film industry, as well as to provide tools for professional development, putting special emphasis on Argentine films, given the Festival’s reputation as a launching pad for emerging local filmmakers.

The Professional Area will be equipped with Wi-Fi and a room for business meetings, as it is meant to serve as a workspace for accredited professionals throughout the days of the Festival.

Activities this year will include individual consultancy sessions with Argentine professionals who have a long track record in independent filmmaking. This activity is free and requires advance registration on this website. In addition, there will be open discussions on specific topics.

The Professional Area offers an essential tool: the Professional Guide, which can be downloaded for free on this website. It is an interactive directory containing profile and contact information of national and international professionals attending the 17th BAFICI.

The Professional Area is located at the BAFICI Meeting Point, in Centro Cultural Recoleta (Junín 1930)
