Somewhere in the Bolivian Andes, little Dayana helps her grandma with the cooking and takes care of the goats with his friend Walter... until she’s told that she has been chosen “spring queen.” Immaculately dressed and with her hair done for the occasion, Dayana will walk up to a stage where other little princesses await, and will dance with Walter (now with suit and tie,) who has the same amount of enthusiasm as her: none whatsoever. With extended shots and no further explanations than those made by the event’s announcer –more of a serial applause-asker–, Tapia Guerra concentrates on the curious inland customs and turns them into some sort of extraterrestrial liturgy.
